Sulphur Springs is a singularly unique attraction located inside the bowl of an extinct volcano - the rim collapsed creating a caldera with a fissure that vents steam, bubbling mud and water with a temperature of 350F. The yellow and orange rock of the area around the fissure contrasts amazingly with the lush green of the vegetation and the black water that flows from the fissure and joins with a small spring fed stream. The bubbling mud and steam rising from the fissure are an awesome sight.
